Seven hurt in J&K grenade attack
Seven people were injured on Wednesday when terrorists detonated a powerful grenade in a Jammu and Kashmir town.
The incident took place in the market in the central Kashmir town of Magam.
The blast triggered panic in Magam, situated on the Srinagar-Gulmarg road, leading to disruption of traffic.
"The grenade exploded in the main market resulting in injuries to seven civilians. All the injured were taken to the Magam hospital for treatment. The condition of two is serious," said a senior police officer.
Security forces immediately surrounded the market place and searches were conducted.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
On Tuesday, a grenade explosion had injured nine people in Narbal town, also on the Srinagar-Gulmarg highway.
