Seven Indians in Asian allstar hockey teams

As a recognition of his fine performance in the 14th Asian Games, Dhanraj Pillay was on Saturday named along with three of his teammates in the 21-member Asian allstar team.

As a recognition of his fine performance in the 14th Asian Games, mercurial forward Dhanraj Pillay was today named along with three of his teammates in the 21-member Asian allstar team announced here today.

Besides Pillay, goalkeeper Devesh Chouhan, forward Deepak Thakur and skipper Dilip Tirkey also found a place in the team announced by Asian Hockey Federation secretary general Alagendra.

In the women's team too there are three Indians. The trio to figure in the Asian Continental team are Surajlata Devi, Sumarai Tete and Jyoti Kullu.

Alagendra said both the selected teams would play Test matches against various Asian countries.
