The accused, employees of Airawat Aviation Ltd, are all aged between 19-24, police said. Police had received several complaints of missing valuables from the luggage of passengers.

However, efforts by authorities, to trace the accused proved futile. Meanwhile Emirates flight services had kept hidden cameras in cargo holds of their aircraft for the last three days.

They found the loaders opening luggage with blades to steal valuables. The pictures were handed over to police who nabbed the workers when they arrived for duty last evening, police said. Valuables like cameras, mobile phones, watches, perfume bottles and costly spectacles were recovered from their houses, they said.
