Shaad is using the time between films to assist the ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam on the sets of Raavana.

According to a source, Shaad reveres Mani Ratnam with whom he bagan his career and he even reaches the shooting venue even before Mani even if it's a 6 am shift.

Shaad Ali's recent film Jhoom Barabar Jhoom tanked at the box-office.
