Sheila Dikshit to get Lokmanya Tilak Award
Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit will be bestowed with the prestigious The Lokmanya Tilak Award for 2010 for her contribution to social progress, the Pune-based Lokmanya Tilak Trust announced today.

Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit will be bestowed with the prestigious The Lokmanya Tilak Award for 2010 for her contribution to social progress, the Pune-based Lokmanya Tilak Trust announced on Thursday.
The award is bestowed every year on a person who has strived for the well being and progress of the society and the nation, the trust president Deepak Tilak told a press conference.
The award ceremony will take place on August 1, coinciding with Lokmanya Tilak's 89th death anniversary, he said.
The award was constituted in 1983.
