Fighting between Shiite Muslims and Sunnis on Thursday in western Afghanistan injured 17 people, officials said.
The fighting occurred in a camp for displaced people in Herat, near the Iranian border, said Barakatullah Mohammedi, a doctor at Herat Hospital.
