Senior ASI official Munajjar Ali told HT, “The Sena activists entered the main complex along with other tourists at 4 pm As we were aware of their plans, they were under constant watch and returned without doing anything.” But the Sena activists, who argue the Taj was built on the site of a Shiva temple, claimed they performed aarti and puja.

The Sena activists had made a similar attempt on Monday but then too the police had prevented them from entering the premises.
