Shiv Sena, president, Ashok Gupta slammed Digvijay for questioning the veracity of Batla House encounter and said the court verdict would go a long way in boosting the morale of security personnel fighting terror.

Gupta demanded: "Congress party should register an FIR against Digvijay Singh and he should be put behind bars for supporting militants."

Earlier, Shiv Sena activists had gathered outside the Press Club and burnt Digvijay Singh's posters. They shouted slogans hailing MC Sharma and criticising Digvijay Singh.

Gupta said: "Anti-nationals have no religion and Digvijay Singh must condemn anyone involved in terrorist activities irrespective of cast and creed."

"Digvijay Singh always supports a particular religion, when the members of his party are found involved in some terrorist activities. They are obviously playing vote-bank politics," he added.

Gupta urged Rahul Gandhi to visit MC Sharma's family and seek apology from them.
