AFTER TAKING a short yoga class conducted by Swami Ramdev, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced here on Saturday that the State Government would introduce yoga education in schools.
Chouhan said he would chart out a plan in this regard under the guidance of Guru Ramdev. He also said the State was keen to have a branch of the Pathanjali Yoga Kendra. To this, Swami Ramdev said he was ready to open a branch in MP.
After inaugurating a 5-day yoga camp of Ramdev, Chouhan told reporters that government wants the people of the state to be healthy and that yoga could strengthen the body, mind and the soul
Asked whether his government would start the yoga education in the school from the next session, he said its module would be worked out first. “We do whatever we say,” he said. Hundreds of people attended the yoga camp on the day one.
