AN UNIDENTIFIED person called former minister and sitting Congress Member of Legislative Assembly Satyadev Katare in Gwalior on his mobile phone and threatened to kill him. The caller said that one of Katare?s associates had been killed and now it was Katare?s turn.

Nandrajog arriving today

GENERAL OFFICER Commanding-in-Chief, Central Command Lieutenant General O. P Nandrajog is scheduled to arrive in Jabalpur on Saturday in connection with Madhya Bharat Area headquarters’ preparations for the Army Day. This is the maiden visit of the GOC-in-C to the City. 4 of a family jailed

FOUR MEMBERS of a family were sent behind bars today after they were caught cooking blackbuck meat near Sirali in Itarsi on Friday. Forest Ranger HS Gurjar informed that a blackbuck died after it was run over by a train between Gurra and Itarsi on Wednesday. Jeevan Lal and Chhotelal of Sirali took the body to their home and cooked its meat. They did not inform the Forest Department, Gurjar added. HTC

Burn victims die

TWO MEMBERS of the family, who sustained critical burn injuries after their house was set afire by assailants, have succumbed to their injuries, police said in Burhanpur today. While Badrunnisa (40) died on January 11, a day after she was admitted to hospital with six other members of her family, her granddaughter Reshma (five) died last night, they said. PTI

Review programme changed

STATE GOVERNMENT has made some changes in the schedule of divisional review meetings being taken by the Chief Minister, who would take meeting of Jabalpur division on January 16 instead of January 27 as was decided earlier.

Similarly, the divisional meeting of Sagar that was to be held on January 25 has been deferred, as on the same day Chief Minister would participate in a series of functions being organised to show his popularity in the Bundelkhand region, considered bastion of Uma Bharti. Chief Minister would participate in a meting of Rewa division on January 28 at 11 am. HTC
