AN ILLEGAL sand mine today caved in killing on labourer and seriously injuring two others in Malanpur police station area of district Bhind. The injured were admitted to hospital for treatment.

AN ILLEGAL sand mine today caved in killing on labourer and seriously injuring two others in Malanpur police station area of district Bhind. The injured were admitted to hospital for treatment. According to sources, illegal sand mining was being done in village Khiriabapar under Malanpur police station, district Bhind.

Some labourers were engaged in the illegal mining this morning when the mine caved in. Labourers Daya Shankar died in the accident while Dheeraj and Deshram were admitted to the hospital in unconscious condition. HTC

Warrant issued

AN ARREST warrant was issued by the court of Judicial Magistrate against one Anand Prakash and the publisher of the controversial book 'Mahatma Gandhi Abhishap'. The book, written by Anand Prakash, was sold in the book fair organised at Phoolbagh ground in Gwalior from August 6 to 16.

The writer has allegedly made derogatory remarks against the Father of the Nation. A petition was filed in the court of JMFC P D Sharma on the insult caused to the Father of the Nation. HTC

Shilp Bazaar inaugurated

GWALIOR DIVISION Commissioner PD Meena inaugurated Shilp Bazaar 2006 in the Gwalior Trade Fair premises organised jointly by the Development Commissioner Handicrafts, Textile Ministry Government of India and Madhya Pradesh Handicrafts and Handloom Development Commissioner. Meena garlanded an idol of Lord Ganesh and lighted the lamp to inaugurate the Shilp Bazaar. HTC

68 gas cylinders seized

IN A surprise raid conducted by district administration in Guna, 68 gas cylinders were recovered and four persons were booked in this connection last night. City magistrate Arun Parmar gave this information here on Sunday. Parmar said, the gas cylinders recovered were not from gas agencies but private institutions.

The approximate value of these cylinders is estimated at Rs 65,000. Four persons including Arvind Jain, Indrajit Singh, Mahendra Jain and Shriram Jhala were arrested in this connection. Cases against all these persons were registered under requisite act. No arrest was made in this connection so far. HTC

Man kills daughter, wife

A MAN after killing his wife and a one-year-old daughter committed suicide by hanging self in Dhobi Pachor village in Shajapur district this morning. According to police, it was found during preliminary information that Amrit Lal Rathor (32) was mentally unstable and sick. He first killed his wife and daughter by poisoning them and later hanged self. Police registered a case. Agencies
