'Sick mind knows no judgement'
Alertness and sensibilty should be part of your general behavior as a safeguard against sexual assault.
Using physical force to commit sexual acts has been there since time immemorial. It has always sparked the emotion of hate in women and an attitude of 'she kind-of deserved it' in men. More often then not it is the victim who in some manner or the other, is put under blame.

There are two sides to the situation. If we engross ourselves with one side we can never be just to the situation and the 'victims'. Here I call both the parties 'victims'. The reason is that both claim to be the victims of the situation. The only difference being that the blaming situation as per them lies in the other person's realm. In short, it is a blame game. Unless one stops playing the game and tries to see it introspectively something hardly can be understood with regards to it's dynamics.
From the men's perspective, there have always been times when we have had psychopathy mingled in the mainstream. It only was a matter of time and opportunity. Since this is difficult to identify and correct the solution was thought to be 'avoidance' by women. If you look closely at the social and cultural systems you may understand them. The sensibility in advocating 'save yourself'systems lay in the fact that women are physically not comparable to the men folk. The physicality aspect has to be understood well and completely.
No amount of intellectual development can compensate for the physical power discrepancy. So, then what are we to do? To the best of my knowledge and ability I would suggest all working girls to take some wisdom from the Panchatantra Stories. They give us good guidelines on what to do when your enemy is physically more powerful. Coming out in open confrontation when the power position is tilted would never be considered wise. Separate the issues of likes and dislikes from appropriate and inappropriate. Alertness and sensibilty should be part of your general behavior.
Remember, sickness knows no judgement. Prevention is the only bet.
