Six gets life term in murder case
A Fast Track Court in Erode has sentenced six youths for life imprisonment in connection with the murder of one of their friends in June last year.

A Fast Track Court in Erode has sentenced six youths for life imprisonment in connection with the murder of one of their friends in June last year.
The charge against them was that they killed Mathai, a painter, as they suspected that he had an illicit affair with the wife of Karthick, one among them.
They consumed liquor along with Mathai and after finding that he was in an inebriated condition, killed him using lethal weapons. The body was later thrown into the Cauvery river on June 18, 2008.
The Fast Track Court judge Thangaraj awarded life sentence to Karthick, Prabhu, Murugesan, Kumar, Mathivannan and Nagaraj on Friday.
