A woman and her five children were burnt alive when their hut caught fire in Bihar's Gaya district, police said on Saturday.

Meena Devi (34) and her five children aged between two and 14 years were burnt when sparks from a bonfire set ablaze their hut at Budhgaria village of the district late on Friday night, Superintendent of Police Amit Jain said.
The deceased were identified as Ravi Manjhi, Shailendra Manjhi, Harendra Manjhi, Karan Manjhi and Munni Kumari.
The children's father Preman Manjhi was admitted to Magadh Medical College Hospital in a serious condition, he said.
