Six-year-old dies of suspected dengue in Bangalore

A six-year-old boy, suspected to be suffering from dengue fever, died at a city shospital. "The child was admitted to the hospital on Monday and died yesterday", Ramaiah Hospital sources said.
A six-year-old boy, suspected to be suffering from dengue fever, died at a city shospital. "The child was admitted to the hospital on Monday and died yesterday", Ramaiah Hospital sources said.
"Going by the symptoms and the internal hospital lab reports that identified it as dengue, the child was put on dengue treatment", the sources said.

"Blood samples had been sent to the National Institute of Virology for testing and the reports are still awaited", the sources added.
According to officials of the city corporation, Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike, the boy was first taken to another private hospital and then to Ramaiah.
