"The slaughter house, which will be spread over five hectare land, will adhere to international norms. Abacus Legal Group, which has been appointed as consultant, has submitted a survey and project report," an industry department spokesman said in Lucknow.

"Besides, providing high quality meat products to domestic consumers, the unit will be export oriented," he said.

The Union Food and Processing department will provide a grant of Rs 15 crore for the unit, for which land has already been identified.
