The Bihar Govt decided to exempt Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire from entertainment tax.Deputy CM and Finance Minister Sushil Kumar Modi told reporters about this after presenting the budget in the state assembly.

from entertainment tax.

Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Sushil Kumar Modi told reporters about this after presenting the budget in the state assembly.

Congratualing the entire team of the Slumdog Millionaire for bagging eight Oscar awards, Modi said Indian artistes have stolen the Oscar show by their extraordinary performances in this movie.

“I salute musician A R Rehman, lyricist Gulzar and sound editing expert Rosul Pokutty for making India proud,” he said.

Modi also congratulated the ‘Smile Pinky´ team for winning the Oscar in doumentary category.
