Sonnet get better of Young Friends

Sonnet put YFC in to bat after winning the toss but none of their bowlers barring Ashish Malhotra (2-33) could make an impact and YFC put up a handsome 189 for 7, reports Heena Zuni Pandit.

In a match which went down to the wire, Sonnet defeated Young Friends Club by seven wickets in a league tie of the Lala Raghubir Singh hot-weather tournament on Tuesday. The match was virtually a knock-out contest as the team emerging victorious would have more or less secured a semifinal berth. And Sonnet did their semifinal chances a lot of good by snatching victory from the jaws of defeat.
