Sood opens Bhopal Utsav Mela

ENTERING ITS 15th year, the Bhopal Utsav Mela - 2006 at New Dussehra Maidan, TT Nagar was inaugurated by City Mayor Sunil Sood on December 27. BJP MLA Uma Shankar Gupta also lighted the lamp.

On the occasion, Bhopal Utsav Mela Samiti general secretary Vinod Agarwal said in addition to exhibition and sales, the Samiti had organised a ‘Akhil Bhartiya Kavi Sammelan’ at 8 pm on December 30.

Participants at the Sammelan would be Omprakash Aditya (Delhi), Dr Vishnu Saxena (Hathras), Ashish Anal (Lakhimpur Khairi), Sampat ‘Saral’ (Jaipur), Om Vyas (Ujjain), Anjum Rahwar (Guna), Ras Behari Gour (Ajmer), Alok Shrivastava (Delhi) and Chowdhury Madan Mohan Samar (Betul). Agarwal said senior litterateur Kanhaiyalal ‘Nandan’ would be felicitated.
