SP burns effigies of PM, Lalu

THE SAMAJWADI Party (SP) activists burnt the effigies of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and terrorism at Parade Crossing on Saturday. They were staging protest against the serial blasts in Mumbai. City president Mahtab Aalam led the demonstration. Before setting ablaze the effigies, he addressed the gathering and said that the incident had raised a question mark on the country?s internal security. He said that the party members criticised the heinous act of terrorism.

They were staging protest against the serial blasts in Mumbai. City president Mahtab Aalam led the demonstration.

Before setting ablaze the effigies, he addressed the gathering and said that the incident had raised a question mark on the country’s internal security. He said that the party members criticised the heinous act of terrorism. He demanded compensation of Rs 10 lakh for the family members of those who were killed in the incident and Rs 1 lakh each for the injured.

The Bharatiya Dalit Panther also staged a demonstration and burnt the effigy of terrorism at Chunniganj crossing. Its national president Chaudhary Zia-ul- Islam led the demonstration.

Panther Dhanirao Bauddh condemned the bomb blasts and demanded severe punishment for those engineered the blasts.
