SP demands CBI probe into ASI death

Later, a delegation of the party led by MLA Dr Sunilam and State vice-president of SP Mahila Sabha Aneesa Khan met Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and submitted him a memorandum in this regard.

The SP members have warned that if proper action were not initiated in the matter, a statewide agitation would be launched. In a release issued here, Dr Sunilam said that the Chief Minister heard the delegation seriously and mentioned that if the government is not satisfied with the CID inquiry, a CBI inquiry might be considered.

The Samajwadi Party members have meanwhile decided to start a chain hunger strike at Bhind from Friday to press their demand of CBI enquiry and filing of case against the erstwhile SP.
