Presently, in town he took part in gospel singing on Saturday at Bible Seminary and attended the prayers at Assembly of Believers' Church on Sunday.

Vijay wins the heart with his humble disposition. Presently, in town he took part in gospel singing on Saturday at Bible Seminary and attended the prayers at Assembly of Believers' Church on Sunday.
"Allahabad is my hometown and although the concerts taking place across the globe keep me extremely busy but I manage some time to come here. Allahabad is very close to my heart," said Vijay who did his schooling in St Joseph's College.
Recognised as the singer who sang some of the famous foot tapping numbers for Mithun Da, Vijay now finds it more fulfilling to sing for Jesus. "Frankly speaking, there is nothing real in Bollywood. Everything is hollow and people feign their actual feelings. I found spirituality to be the sole healer of heart and thus diverted towards it and it is true that I am not missing Bollywood," he added.
So much is the popularity of this singer that he has been booked for various concerts to be held in India and abroad till the year 2008. "I sing in concerts only to serve God which has thankfully given me a purpose in life. I am very content to be a part of such concerts which have given me an opportunity to spread the message of spirituality," he added.
Vijay keeps giving concerts in America, Europe, Bangkok and Dubai. Now he has been invited to Fiji. But he admits that there is no other place as home. "India is the best and Indians are very nice. Being an Indian, I want to add that we will be a superpower one day as the world is acknowledging us," he said.
"My friends and colleagues in Bollywood keep inviting me but I often deny as now I have a purpose to serve. And I don't find any difference in singing for the natives in villages or for the gathering of refined people in any magnificent concert," said Vijay who is definitely set to bring in radical changes in the lives of many.
