Splinter Akali group to return to Badal's party

Shiromani Akali Dal (Democratic) Kuldeep Singh Wadala, who broke away from SAD (Badal) in 1996, has decided to merge his party with the parent organisation.

A formal announcement will be made by Wadala and his supporters in the presence of former chief minister and SAD supremo Parkash Singh Badal at Jalandhar tomorrow, Daljit Singh Cheema Secretary SAD (Badal) said on Thursday.

"Wadala is joining SAD (Badal) without any pre-conditions," Cheema said.
