"Sreesanth is having a viral fever but we cannot say one way or the other on his playing the match. We are assessing his situation," captain Rahul Dravid said at the match-eve press conference.
The Ernakulam native, only the second Keralite to play in Tests, took 4-95 in the first innings in the first Test at Nagpur last week.
The 24-year old vomitted on Tuesday night but braved himself to take part in the nets on Wednesday morning.
