Sri Krishna panel to meet AP parties over Telangana

The Sri Krishna Committee, appointed by the Central government to examine the situation in Andhra Pradesh over the Telangana issue, will meet political parties in Hyderabad today.

The Sri Krishna Committee, appointed by the Central government to examine the situation in Andhra Pradesh over the Telangana issue, will meet political parties in Hyderabad on Thursday.

The Committee Chairman, B N Sri Krishna and other members are likely to meet Praja Rajyam and other parties on Thursday and Friday.

The Committee has already heard the views of the TRS in New Delhi earlier.

The Committee has began its field visits with two members of the panel, Abu Saleh Sharif and Ravinder Kaur, touring Mahabubnagar and Kurnool districts in the last few days.

The Committee had visited Hyderabad earlier to put in place the necessary arrangements for conducting its job.

The Committee, headed by retired Supreme Court Judge B N Sri Krishna, was appointed by the Centre to examine the situation in Andhra Pradesh in the wake of agitations for and against the division of the state.
