The Swedish-led Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM) said the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) had lodged a formal complaint against military action in the island's northeast, but the ceasefire agreement was still on.

"They have said that the government is violating the ceasefire, but they have not made any decision to resign from the ceasefire agreement," spokesman Thorfinnur Omarsson said.
