The bus service was cancelled following information that landslides blocked the road at Chakoti in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and at Lagama, Johla and Aman sethu on the Indian side.

Passengers from the Indian side bound for Muzaffarabad, capital of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), were informed by the authorities about the cancellation of the bus service early on Thursday, the sources said, adding the next bus service will run on next Thursday.

This is for the second time in over a month that the weekly bus service was cancelled. Earlier, on March 5, the bus service was cancelled as Pakistani authorities informed their Indian counterparts that due to some administrative problem they would not be able to send or receive passengers.

Landslides triggered by incessant rains across the border also forced Jammu and Kashmir government to suspend weekly trade between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad on April seven.
