Stage set for IIM?s Utsaha fun festival

THE REVERBRATIONS of ‘Utsaha’ - the two-day marketing fair of Indian Institute of Management, Indore (IIM-I) beginning from January 6 - have begun to be felt with the college campuses of the City being visited by event coordinators on Thursday to conduct preliminary rounds of Time College of the Year competition.
The first day is dedicated to the youth of Indore. The main attraction being the ‘Time Utsaha College of The Year’ contest where the colleges in Indore compete for the coveted title. The various rounds are designed to put the contestant’s creativity to test and will be subjected to interesting yet challenging games.
‘Time Ad Zap’, ‘Time Talent Show’ and ‘Time Dream Team’ are the three challenges in the road to being crowned champion and walk away with the tag of ‘College of the Year’. The event coordinators will visit prominent colleges of the City on Thursday to conduct preliminary rounds for this competition.
While the colleges fight it out on the first day of the fair, others can take the ‘Inox Dare-it’ challenge and win fabulous prizes. Another contest with a funky theme named the ‘Parachute Style and Shine’ has been designed keeping the young crowd in mind.
The second day of the fair being a Sunday is reserved for families to come and have fun. The ‘Tata Man Of Steel’ contest testing knowledge, intelligence and the ability to think on one’s feet, The ‘Sahara Samay Antakshari’ where the participants unleash their latent singing talent and the State Bank of Indore ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ best family contest where the entire family participates as a team and at the end of the day the hunt for the smartest duo in Indore through the ‘Reliance Mr and Ms Smart Contest’ are designed for the family and youngsters alike.
The fair to be held on Abhay Prashal grounds is hosted by ‘Mercur-I’ the marketing club of IIM-I along with ‘Reliance Smart’. The event has been planned on a larger scale and with the widened spectrum it was only befitting that it be symbolised by an official mascot. The mascot for the first time in ‘Utsaha’ is ‘Josh- the lion’.
‘Utsaha’ is a fair with a difference, as it has got a large number of stalls displaying and comparing products in different fields ranging from education to automobiles to tours and travel to financial stalls. Variety is the Unique Selling Proposition (USP) of ‘Utsaha’.
There is good news for the gourmets. The food stalls are going to serve up some of the finest delicacies from all over the country including Rajasthani, Punjabi, South Indian, Chinese and local. However, the biggest draw for the crowds is going to be the contests that are going to be held over the two days.
