Stargazer par excellence
This engineer is a famous astrologer. And, does all those things that generally astrologers do—making horoscopes, comparing them, making predictions, and suggesting remedies. But, he also is one of the most prolific astro-writers in the country—he began by contributing articles to astro-magazines. This beginning was in 1982.
TP Trivedi, so far, has written 20 books on astrology—13 of which have been published while, seven are in various stages of publication.
He had no inkling about this aspect of his destiny that in about three decades, he would become one of the most-published and most-read astro-author around. He is among that rare breed of astro-writer who have command over both Hindi and English when talking about astrology.
His unique work on aspects of delay in marriage — ‘Vaivaahik Vilamb Ke Vividh Aayaam Evam Mantra’ that came off the printing press in 1988, saw four editions and several reprints. Similar is the case with most of his other books. None of his books ever go out of circulation from the astrology circuit as each one deals with some significant aspect of life—covering minutest details to in comprehensive manner.
“There was a time when I used to run after publishers. Now, they run after me,” says Trivedi. Trivedi’s publishers are some of the top astrology books publishers in the country—like Ms Motilal Banarasi Das, Mishkam Peeth or Alpha Publications.
So, can just anyone read his books? “No, its not like that. A person should have at least elementary knowledge of astrology.”
If one goes to his residence in Mahanagar, then it would be apparent that he probably has one of the biggest libraries of astrology books and magazines in the country. And he has arranged them like a professional librarian!
On, marriage alone, he has written seven books. “Marriage is one of the most popular subjects of astrological consultations. And, it also is one aspect where astrologers mislead clients—sometimes in greed but most of the time due to their own lack of knowledge and research,” he said.
His own marriage has been a long and successful one—so much so that the couple has such intense liking for astrology that Mridula has worked on each and every book that TP has written. It’s a ‘No’ if you think the support has been in the form of tolerating him while he is busy with writing or providing him endless cups of coffee or tea. She actually writes the books with him and is co-author of most of the books.
He also had no inkling that one day he would write an elaborate work of fiction.
His ‘Roop Ka Bandhan Hataa Do’ is ready and has been grabbed by a publisher.
As far as consultancy goes—he has Amitabh Bachchan, several top industrialists, politicians on his regular client list. Need we say more?
