The petitioner, Kamil Anwar Ebzi, had alleged that the state wrongly projected him as a Chhota Shakeel aide plotting to kill lawyers of key accused in the Malegaon blast case, Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur.

His remand application shows that he and three others were arrested while plotting to loot Sigdi Restaurant in Bandra.
