Students told how to shed negative thinking

OVER 85 students of the Harcourt Butler Technological Institute (HBTI) participated in a six-day seminar on ‘Youth Empowerment’. The seminar, organised by the members of the ‘Art of Living’ Society, began from April 25. The seminar will conclude on Sunday.

Students were taught how to shed their negative thinking and go ahead with positive plans to make their life meaningful and subjective. They were told how to find out joy and satisfaction from the existing living condition without making hue and cry over the failures.

Teachers exhorted the participants they should not be swayed by their emotional approaches and advised them to create a harmonious environment around themselves. The classes held on each day from 6 PM to 8 PM at the HBTI and students seemed thrilled attending these classes of self-building.

Experts like Rajesh from IIT-Mumbai, K Ury from Surat, Abhishek from Rishikesh and Dinesh from Mumbai spoke on Yoga, meditation, leadership development and in fighting out emotional blockades and hesitations. The students were told about Sudarshan Kriya for the development of a strong personality.

Teachers urged the participants not to be swayed by their emotional approaches and advised them to create a harmonious environment around themselves. The classes are being held from 6 to 8 pm at the HBTI.

Birthday celebration
THE LOCAL unit of ‘Art of Living’ Society has made an ambitious plan to celebrate the 50th birth anniversary of Sri Sri Ravi Shanker on May 13.

According to a teacher Promla Vaidya and a coordinator Meenakshi Asthana, on the day a grand satsang and ‘sudarshan mahakriya’ will be organised for devotees. Besides, a community dinner will be held in the evening. They further said that a basic course would start from May 2.
