Suicide bomber kills 7 in Fallujah

Five others were hurt when a suicide truck bomber detonated his explosives-packed vehicle at a police checkpoint.

A suicide truck bomber detonated his explosives-packed vehicle at a police and military checkpoint at the edge of Fallujah on Friday morning, killing seven civilians and wounding five, police said.

The bomber attacked as large numbers of cars were waiting to pass through the security checkpoint going into the city, 65 kilometers west of Baghdad, said police Lt Mohammed Taha. Two of the wounded were police.
