According to the police, Saha’s parents were away when the incident occurred. He did not leave any suicide note. But some papers detailing his investments were found in the room.
The only son of Santosh Saha, a prominent businessman, Saha had been disturbed for some days over the drastic fall of the share market, his friends and relatives said. It is learnt that he had invested Rs 18 lakh and his stakes had fallen over the days.
He was reportedly seen watching market news on TV channels and even doing his accounts the night before.
His death has come as a shock. “The wealthy family was not expected to cry over the loss as they have investments and assets in other areas,” said a family friend.
