Sukh Ram (82), credited with bringing "telecommunication revolution" in the country as a minister for communication in the Narsimha Rao ministry, announced his retirement from electoral politics at a function in his native Kotali village in Mandi district on Saturday and nominated his son Anil Sharma as his political successor.
