The Sunfeast Open contest will once again give an opportunity to children to play a part in designing the winner's trophy. Over six lakh students nationwide will reportedly participate in the contest.
Children will once again play a part in designing the winner's trophy at the Sunfeast Open as the organisers will launch a nationwide hunt to select the child, whose imagination will inspire the final look of the silverware.
The trophy that last year's winner Anastasia Myskina took home with her was designed by a 12-year-old student of Kolkata after ITC Foods conducted a "Design the Trophy Contest" for the school children of Kolkata.
The organisers plan to extend this contest across the country and this year "Design the trophy Contest" will see the participation of over 400 schools and six lakh students.
The winning kid will get an opportunity to appear on Ten Sports and meet leading tennis stars.
"This year the Trophy Design contest is being carried out in the top six metros with the aim of increasing the involvement of kids and audiences with this tournament across the country," said ITC Executive vice-President (Marketing).
