Sunil Khilnani: Ideas unlimited

A professor at Johns Hopkins University, Khilnani was one among the 11 persons given the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman award by President Abdul Kalam on January 9, 2005.

The eminent writer and the greatest living authority on Jawaharlal Nehru, Khilnani was the former professor of politics at Birkbeck College at the University of London. 

He was also a fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. He has written numerous articles, essays and reviews authored many books.

His book The Idea of India was a bestseller in India as well as abroad.

Khilnani was one among the 11 persons given the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman award by President APJ Abdul Kalam on January 9, 2005 for his outstanding work in political science.
