Survey: Most don’t care who wins tournament now

The Hindustan Times-C fore survey conducted in six cities shows that a whopping 74% do not care about who wins the domestic T20 tournament in the wake of the spot-fixing scandal.

The Hindustan Times-C fore survey conducted in six cities shows that a whopping 74% do not care about who wins the domestic T20 tournament in the wake of the spot-fixing scandal. A whopping 82% also feel cheated for having spent time watching the tournament.

The scandal has eroded confidence in the BCCI’s functioning to such a degree that 87% said N Srinivasan & Co were not doing enough to curb malpractices.

Former India captain and coach Ajit Wadekar said: “The players involved have tarnished the game’s image. If they are found guilty, they should be banned. The law should be implemented properly.”

Ex-cricketer Gundappa Viswanath said, “Our country is crazy about cricket. One incident will not diminish interest.”
