Suryanarayan's 'second' wife meets AP Governor

Meanwhile, Suryanarayan's first wife Manjula continued to be in a critical condition.

Swapna, who claimed to be the second wife of K Suryanarayan who was killed by Talibans in Afghanistan, met Governor Rameshwar Thakur and sought his help in securing financial assistance for her family.

Talking to newsmen later, Swapna, who carried her eight-month-old daughter with her to the Raj Bhavan, said the Governor promised to look into her case.

Meanwhile, Suryanarayan's first wife Manjula continued to remain in a critical condition at a hospital though she showed some signs of improvement.

Hospital authorities said she recognised her parents and briefly spoke to them. Manjula consumed a toilet cleaner after she learnt of her husband's 'second' wife.
