“All those working with the government and speaking against reservation for Dalit adivasis and other backward classes should be suspended from service. Also, cases should be registered against them for speaking against the provisions of the Constitution of the country,” Athawale told reporters.

“We strongly condemn JB Pardiwala’s remarks that reservation system has destroyed the country. He should be immediately suspended from service,” the Rajya Sabha MP added.

While passing an order in a case involving Patel quota agitation leader Hardik Patel nearly a week ago, Pardiwala had said, “If I am asked by anyone to name two things which have destroyed this country, or rather has not allowed the country to progress in the right direction, then the same is reservation and corruption.”
