One Saini Ram, who was travelling in 5002 down Dehradun Express, reportedly died in the running train after being tortured by the TTE while checking tickets in the compartment.

Talking to mediapersons, Dubey said the suspension was unfortunate and threatened to stage a dharna on October 5 at the chief commercial office in protest.

He claimed that the allegation against the TTE for manhandling the passenger was baseless and the railway administration did not make any efforts to probe the incident.

Subhash claimed that the story published in newspapers was far from true. He claimed that a raid was conducted at Gorakhpur Cantt railway station a day earlier. The next day unsocial elements attacked TTEs in a planned way.

He demanded proper security for TTEs who played vital role in increasing the income of NE Railway and said serious resentment was brewing among the employees against the action against the TTEs.

Dubey demanded stringent action against the miscreants.
