According to the office bearers’ list on BCCI’s official website (www.bcci.tv), Sanjay Jagdale and Ajay Shirke are still secretary and treasurer.
This after a much publicised rift within the BCCI leadership that resulted in Jagdale and Shirke quitting their posts on May 31 after scathing criticism of the board over its handling of corruption in the Twenty20 League.
Both had refused to withdraw their resignations despite request from interim chief Jagmohan Dalmiya, who curiously doesn’t figure in the list of office-bearers on the site.
The only mention of Dalmiya is in the June 2 announcement that he will take over the board’s affairs from N Srinivasan. Technically still the BCCI president, Srinivasan’s name hasn’t been removed.
Sanjay Patel, who was named the interim secretary on Thursday, too hasn’t made it to the list. Surprising since India’s Champions Trophy win against South Africa the same day features prominently on the home page.
