Pratik Kanjilal’s essay Crumbling fortune cookie referring to a Chinese author’s advocacy of dividing India is a sign of broader malignant intentions to keep the two apart (Speakeasy, August 15). India and China are the world’s two most rapidly growing economies which, together, can threaten US supremacy over the world. Instead of fighting with each other, we should come together to tilt the balance of power in our favour.
