Mercedes GP and Williams F1 tried out new exhaust configurations as specified by the new FIA regulations drafted after the banning of exhaust blown diffusers. The new exhausts were on display at the young drivers' test at Yas Marina and could give the two squads a leg up on the other teams at the start of next season.
