Teenager raped by youth on pretext of marriage in Dewas

A 14-year-old girl was raped by a youth for nearly a month on the pretext of marriage in Dewas district. The accused, identified as Abrar Khan (25), is absconding.

Dewas Kotwali police station in-charge Upendra Singh said the victim belongs to Polakhal village under Udai Nagar police station.

Abrar has been charged under section 376 (rape) of the IPC and Section 4 of the Protection of Child from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, the officer said.
