Temperature climbs further in Punjab, Haryana

Minimum temperature climbed up by about two degrees celsius in most parts of Punjab and Haryana on Thursday as the mercury was between one to four notches above normal in different areas of the region.

Minimum temperature climbed up by about two degrees celsius in most parts of Punjab and Haryana on Thursday as the mercury was between one to four notches above normal in different areas of the region.

Amritsar was clodest in plains of Punjab and Haryana with a low of seven degrees celsius, the met office said here.

Among the other places, Bhiwani settled at a low of 7.4 degrees celsius followed by eight degrees celsius at Narnaul, 8.2 degrees celsius at Karnal and 9.2 degrees celsius at Ambala.

While Patiala had a low of 9.8 degrees celsius, the minimum temperature at Rohtak and Ludhiana was an identical ten degrees celsius, one notch above normal.

Chandigarh settled at a low of 13 degrees celsius, four notches above normal and Hisar had a low of 11.4 degrees celsius, two notches above normal.

The met department predicted sunny days during the next 48 hours.
