Ten killed in separate road accidents in HP

Ten persons were killed in three separate road accidents in different parts of Himachal Pradesh today, police said.

Ten persons were killed in three separate road accidents in different parts of Himachal Pradesh on Friday, police said.

Three persons were killed and another injured when the car carrying them plunged into river Sutlej near Bhagatnallah in Pooh sub division of tribal Kinnaur district.

The car carrying four persons was on its way to Reckong Peo from Pooh when the driver lost control while negotiating a sharp curve.

The deceased were identified as Divender (30), Amrit Lal (28) and Vidya Singh (30), police added.

In another accident at Jeori in Rampur sub division of Shimla district, three persons killed when their car fell into a gorge, killing all the occupants on the spot, police said.

The deceased were identified as Shiv Kumar (driver), P K Mishra from Nainital while the third victim was yet to be identified, police said.

In a separate accident, four labourers were killed on the spot when their vehicle fell 70 meters deep into a gorge near Ramanizula in Bawanagar sub division of Kinnaur district, police said.

The deceased had been identified as Kedar Prasad, Rajinder Mallah and Suraj BC.
