Assam police officials claimed today that a group of men led by some officials of Arunachal Pradesh raided Milonpur village under Narayanpur police station and destroyed the paddy crop by cutting it yesterday.

The villagers reported the matter to the district officials and the Naraynpur Circle Officer Pankaj Deka immediately rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation.

Police, CRPF and civil officials are camping in the village to prevent any untoward incident as tension prevails in the area, sources added.
