Terror in Mumbai

Every time there is a bomb blast, politicians term it ‘a shameful act’, ‘an act of cowardice’. But the moot point is how do we prevent incidents like the Mumbai train blasts? Wishful thinking
AG Noorani in Window of hope (July 11) wants India to forge an agreement to the liking of Pakistan so as to not let a promising moment slip away. This is no argument in favour of legitimising illegal occupation of territory.
Noorani overlooks the perils inherent in the dissolution of borders between India and Pakistan and unduly phrases Pervez Musharraf for his flexibility in putting aside the UN resolutions over Kashmir. How can India as a sovereign nation accept joint control over its territory?
