The Bollywood fever is certainly outward bound, transcending borders. Hollywood actress, model and danseuse Sita Thomson has been the latest to join the bandwagon.

After having acted opposite names like Burt Reynolds, James Caan and Timoth Bottoms, the successful model has landed a role in Bollywood's Valentine's Day.

Sita has a lot of enthusiasm about India, and her role. She would come here on holidays, and the warmth and affinity she found here, coupled with the film offer, has made her stay back.

"Before the work, it was the people here," she says. "I received so much love from my friends. There are thousands of people here and I know all of them, they are all my friends. And the work starts from there."

She is a perfect fit for her new role - an American girl trying to come to terms with a new surrounding, a new culture. Sita herself calls it a bit of a destiny. Professionally, Bollywood would seem a big pullback for her after her stint in Hollywood.

"Yes, it's different here!" she says. "One does not stick to schedules, unlike Hollywood. But then there's support from friends. You don't have to be obsessed with your work. You have people to hang around with. It is a bit unorganised. But I also got an opportunity to work with people who are very efficient here.

"Valentine's Day is a very college sort of movie. But the other film which I am doing is quite dramatic and intense. It's about a woman who is lost. There's beauty in both the scripts. And so my scope allows me to cover all the grounds."
