Don't you think women are considered nothing more than mere sex symbols?
No. I do believe that a woman's beauty has many facets. I think that Late Mrs Indira Gandhi was the most beautiful woman because she was mentally very strong as she had made India a very respectable nation on a global platform. I think she was truly a woman of substance. This proves that women are thought to be more than just sex symbols. But, Indian actresses have to have that sexual aura and appeal to be able to survive in the industry.
What kinds of roles do you like playing?
I love to play sexy roles as they make my audience happy. Every artiste's first duty is to make his or her fans happy and Indians love sexy women. The audience is increasingly becoming liberated in their thoughts.
So, who in your opinion is the sexiest man alive?
Who else but Mr. Amitabh Bachchan!
But, he is over 60 and fit to be your grandfather.
Age has nothing to do with one's looks and sex appeal. I think the heart of millions of women, from 16 to 60, still starts pounding when they see Big B.
Which is your favourite hobby?
I love writing poems.
Do you still miss Lucknow?
I can never forget Lucknow. It was this place where I had completed my initial years of education, in La Martiniere Girls' College. I feel at home in Lucknow.
